In the period from 21 to 23 may 2013 in St. Petersburg on the basis of FSUE “VNIIOkeangeologia” the international scientific Conference of the RUSALCA Project will be held: “RUSALCA 2013, Principal Investigator's Workshop: Synthesis and Publications”. The Conference is organized and held by Russian participants of the Project in cooperation with the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
The event will be devoted to summarizing 10 years of Project implementation, as well as to planning of actions and researches for the next decade. The Conference will bring together scientists from leading research institutes and universities of Russia and the United States. They will discuss current problems of the Arctic in the context of understanding the causes and consequences of climate change in the Pacific sector of the Arctic Ocean: the preservation of the environment in the region, development of natural resources in the Arctic, the observance of national interests and the maintenance of international dialogue.
The Conference will be held at FSUE “Gramberg VNIIOkeangeologia”, 1, Angliyskiy Avenue, Saint-Petersburg, Russia. Start: May 21st, 2013, 09:00 AM.
