The international forum was to be held in Moscow on the 22-23 of April with the participation of the Russian Government Chairman and the Chairman of The Russian Geographical Society Board of Trustees V.V. Putin.

It is determined to postpone the forum to September 2010 considering flights ban because of volcanic eruption in Island impossible arrival in Moscow of foreign participants. The aim of forum is to expand states cooperation for the Arctic and its natural resources development, to discuss its ecology, climate changes and anthropogenic factors influence on the Arctic nature.
